OUR STORY

I am Anwar with my beautiful wife, Lametrius. We are vloggers, travelers,  entrepreneurs, weight loss surgery participants, and now small business owners.

 

We have always battled with our weight. Anything you can probably think of, we gave it a shot. We will not say they did not all work, but YOU must work. We have worked and we also have given up. That is not a bad thing, but in the bigger scheme of things we have LEARNED. Learning requires GROWTH.

Growth requires being teachable. Being Teachable, meaning you can speak about your obstacles and how you overcame them. So, we decided to bring you into our world.

 

On May 29, 2019, we had enough! Our battle with obesity finally came to an end. We decided to have the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy to take control of our health. We decided to vlog every step of our weight loss journey as well as our marriage journey via our YouTube channel, “Mete and I”. We are both down 100lbs and our health has improved dramatically. We feel great! Our public decision to speak about our weight loss, lead to many vlogs, direct reactions, a whole lot of questions and unexpected calls.  It only takes one person, in our case two, to become very transparent, through our vlogs about, our why, our struggles, personal battles and our new health and fitness mindset. As days past, more and more things started coming to fruition after we were asked a lot about our protein intake with the expectation of receiving genuine suggestions from us.  From this point on, we decided to launch our own company, “Mete and I Nutrition”. We wanted to create a platform where we could provide our family, friends, weight loss community, and health enthusiast products from people they could relate too and come from where they came from.  We also wanted to provide products we need and could use. This was such a blessing in disguise, and it serves us with a great honor to provide merchandise that can be worn, supplements that not only taste good but are good for you.  Most Importantly they are affordable, and they work!
